A 59-year-old Burbank man died Monday after his Rolls-Royce hurtled over an embankment and rolled down a hillside between Malibu and Calabasas, the California Highway Patrol said.
Donald Eugene Harrison was driving east on Stunt Road, just east of Saddle Peak, when he apparently lost control of his car about 9 a.m., CHP Officer Levy Barnes said.
The Rolls-Royce, traveling at a high rate of speed, struck the hillside and veered over the embankment, he said.
The car apparently struck a clump of trees and flipped over several times, partially ejecting Harrison and pinning him under the vehicle, Barnes said.
Harrison was dead when paramedics arrived.
