Houston-based Tenneco Inc. has named Robert J. Carlson president and chief executive of J. I. Case Co., its agricultural and construction equipment unit based in Racine, Wis.
Most recently, Carlson, 61, was chairman and chief executive of BMC Industries Inc., a manufacturer of electronic and optical products based in Minneapolis.
Carlson replaces James K. Ashford, who resigned from Case in April.
