Tenor Luciano Pavarotti tuned up for his free concert tonight in London’s Hyde Park by taking spade in hand and planting an ash tree in the park Monday in support of the Royal Parks Tree Appeal. Pavarotti’s appearance tonight celebrates his 30th year as a classical performer, and also calls attention to environmental concerns in Hyde Park. The concert will be seen via tape-delay tonight at 7:30. on KCET Channel 28, and on Aug. 16 at 8:10 p.m. on KOCE Channel 50.
