Need more money? Business slow? No problems, if you are a city councilman in Lomita. Monday night, July 15, council members voted themselves a whopping 30% pay raise. One councilman who spoke up loudly for a big raise has only been on the council for 15 months. Thirty percent raise in 15 months. Get into Lomita government if you can. No help wanted in Lomita. They are perfectly happy to split our money amongst themselves. Higher water bills, trash bills and property taxes are next. Speak up and be counted or pay the consequences.
