ENSHRINED: Rod Carew, the Angels’ first baseman for seven years, set a team record with a 1983 batting average of .339. On Aug. 6, a bronze bust of Carew by Fullerton College sculptor Don Treadway will be installed just inside Gate 2--the Angels’ Hall of Fame. . . . Carew reaches a bigger milestone Sunday, when he enters Baseball’s Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, N.Y.
