BUENA PARK : Free Shuttle Bus Service Is On a Roll
- Share via
The city has extended its free shuttle service that takes visitors from local hotels to nearby tourist attractions.
Started last year as an experiment, the free shuttle bus now picks up guests from seven hotels on its daily route. The 47-passenger bus runs from 8 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. The service will operate through Labor Day, then start up again in spring of 1992.
During the past several years, the city has taken several measures to spruce up the 1-mile stretch on Beach Boulevard commonly known as the Entertainment Corridor.
The city has also hung more than 100 colored banners on the route and bus shelters have been upgraded. Funding for the improvements and the shuttle is provided by the participating hotels, attractions and the city’s Redevelopment Agency.
