Governor’s Lawn

In response to “Water Use at Governor’s Home Triples as Lawn Care Is Resumed,” July 6: Gov. Pete Wilson’s press secretary states: “The home isn’t owned by the governor, and if the lawn died, the taxpayers would have had to replace it.” Why? In these water-saving days, many of our lawns have died.
