He will not be the immediate-impact player many expected. At least not this fall as a freshman at Purdue after having been declared academically ineligible, so this will have to do as Robinson’s one and only showcase for a while.
But there is plenty to show: The winner of the prestigious Mr. Indiana basketball while leading Roosevelt High of Gary to the state championship is an explosive 6-foot-9 forward with a great first step. Many considered him and Michigan-bound Chris Webber from Detroit the two best seniors in the country.
