Benefit Set to Save Skid Row Artists Fund
- Share via
Homeless and formerly homeless artists and writers will perform the play “That Final Hit” at Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions tonight at 8 in an effort to save the Skid Row Artists Fund.
Said Jackie Townson, a formerly homeless writer and program organizer, “We originally wanted to do a fund-raiser for LACE because they’ve helped us so much, but then they told us that because of their financial problems they would have to cut the Skid Row Artists Fund, so now we’re doing this benefit (in the hopes that) we can keep the program going.”
Tickets are $5, although homeless people will be admitted free.
Information: (213) 624-5650.
