Los Angeles Newspaper Chain Sold: Northeast Newspapers, which has eight community publications, has been sold to Community Media Enterprises. Northeast Newspapers include the Highland Park News Herald & Journal, Eagle Rock Sentinel, Mount Washington Star-News, Lincoln Heights Star-Review, Lincoln Heights Bulletin News, South Pasadena Journal, El Sereno Star, Eastide Journal and Belvedere Citizen. CME also owns Southern California Community Newspapers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
