Beverly Hills : School Board President
Peggy Goldwyn has taken over as school board president of the Beverly Hills Unified School District, replacing outgoing President Betty Wilson.
Goldwyn, saying she was disappointed with the recent defeat of the parcel tax to raise money for the district, said she will promote long-range planning goals to deal with the shortage of funding.
Wilson has announced that she will not seek reelection in November, leaving two of the three spots on the board open in November. Earlier, Trustee Frank Fenton said he would not seek another term.
