Political Pundits: Tim Russert, the NBC News bureau chief in Washington, and Al Hunt of the Wall Street Journal debut this morning as the new political analysts on NBC’s “Today� show. The two will appear every other Tuesday (in the 7:30 to 8 a.m. time slot) with congressional correspondent Andrea Mitchell to discuss the Washington political scene. Russert and Hunt, who have been appearing regularly as panelists on NBC’s “Meet the Press,� replace columnists David Broder and Jack Germond, who recently defected to Cable News Network.
