Youth Asks for a Race Sponsor
My name is Joshua Dubay. I’m 10 years old and a soap box derby racer. Racing my car keeps me off the street and out of trouble. I am always working on my car.
The reason I am writing to you is I (and a lot of other kids) have a problem. Tri-County Soap Box Derby lost its sponsor for the All-American Race. It costs about $3,200 to put this race on.
The winner in each division of this race is sent to Akron, Ohio, with their families, for the championship race. If we don’t find sponsors by mid-June, we local kids will not be able to race unless we travel long distances.
