Tokos Medical Corp. of Santa Ana, a provider of home pregnancy-monitoring services, has agreed to form a joint venture company with Atlanta-based T2 Medical Inc., a home drug infusion therapy provider. The new company, Women’s Homecare Inc., will help physicians set up and manage their own companies that will, in turn, offer Tokos’ home uterine-activity monitoring services. The physicians would also offer both companies’ drug therapy programs for high-risk pregnancies. Tokos President Craig Davenport said the new company, which will be owned equally by Tokos and T2, hopes to open its first center in July.
