In response to “U.S. Grazing Subsidies Aid Japanese-Owned Ranches,” front page, May 26:
The article on U.S. grazing subsidies illustrates how American congressmen and senators are no longer protecting American taxpayers.
U.S. government rangeland leases were created for American farmers and American farming companies. They were not created for Japanese businesses to exploit at the expense of U.S. taxpayers. Congress must act immediately to close loopholes of this kind in all areas of business.
