One of the three lawsuits filed by George Steinbrenner and New York Yankee officials involving baseball’s investigation of the then-team owner was thrown out of court.

A U.S. District judge said that Steinbrenner could not prove that a company that transcribed the interviews from the investigation had doctored transcripts to affect the findings of baseball Commissioner Fay Vincent. Steinbrenner contends that changes to the transcripts were made at the request of John Dowd, baseball’s investigator.
