Your editorial (“Hopeful Signs Emerging in Africa,” May 27) fails to single out the core of the past Ethiopian crisis, the Eritrean question.
The superpowers now have the responsibility of supervising a referendum that should be held in Eritrea so that the Eritrean people can decide their own political future. The emerging of a free Eritrea will undoubtedly stimulate stability in the Horn of Africa.
