Two new principals have been appointed in the Centralia School District, administration officials have announced.
Barbara Sanchez, currently administrator of special programs, will take over at Raymond Temple School. Douglas DeVore, a vice principal in the Placentia Unified School District, will be assigned to Buena Terra School. They each bring more than 20 years’ experience in education to their new posts.
The vacancies were created by the retirement of Gene Starr and the reassignment of Diana Frost, currently principals at Los Coyotes and Buena Terra Schools, respectively.
Other changes for the new school year include the reassignments of three current principals. Jackie Parkhill will take over at Los Coyotes, Rick Hoss at Miller Elementary and Karen Nakai at San Marino Elementary.
The new assignments are effective July 1.
