World record-holder Tom Jager edged Matt Biondi in the featured 50-meter freestyle at the International de Monte Carlo swim meet at Monte Carlo.
Jager was timed in a slow 23.16 seconds, well off his world mark of 21.81. Biondi was timed in 23.36.
