Earlier Thursday, U.S. athletes had 1991 world bests in four events--Steve Lewis’ 44.71 in the 400 meters, Greg Foster’s 13.28 in the 110-meter high hurdles, Danny Harris’ 48.39 in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles and Sandra Farmer’s 54.57 in the women’s 400-meter intermediate hurdles.
