Nolan Ryan, placed on the 15-day disabled list Tuesday because of pain in his right shoulder, will treat the injury with medication and exercise. He is eligible to return to active play on May. 29.
Ryan, 44, on the disabled list for the 11th time in his career, rejoined the Rangers in Minnesota, where Texas began a three-game series against the Twins with its eighth consecutive victory.
A magnetic resonance imaging test confirmed irritation in the trapezius muscle and tendinitis Ryan’s right shoulder.
