Cockburn’s column was full of logic and reasoning. He appears to be perfectly right in suggesting strong measures from President Bush, including a cutoff of aid to Israel, if Israel will not listen to us.
The U.N. Security Council ultimatum worked for the Iraq-Kuwait issue, it should work for the Israel-Palestinian matter too, if we (the Western world) will be serious.
If the Middle East question is not resolved now, it may never be resolved without another Arab-Israel war.
