Jackson and CNN Talk: The Rev. Jesse Jackson, whose syndicated public affairs series has been canceled, may be headed for a weekly talk show on Cable News Network. “The talks are exploratory, but we are definitely discussing it,” CNN president Tom Johnson confirmed Tuesday. The proposed program is being considered for 9 p.m. Saturdays. Johnson said entertainer Quincy Jones recently called him, “primarily as a representative of Jackson,” to say Jackson was interested in talking to CNN. Jones’ production company produced Jackson’s syndicated show.
