TIME AND TIDE: Huntington Beach has scheduled May 24 for the public opening of a 1914 time capsule dug up from the old pier. . . . An archivist has already dug into the capsule, city spokesman Dennis Williams says. Of the three documents inside, “one was dust after 77 years.” The second, a newspaper, “was quite rusted” but was partly restored. The third is thought to be a list of attending officials.
