Former Bank Executive Convicted of Fraud: A former vice president of the Bank of New England was convicted in U.S. District Court of bank fraud. A jury convicted Lewis Donald Shattuck on 40 of 43 counts, including bank fraud and falsifying bank records, U.S. Atty. Wayne A. Budd said. Shattuck was accused in January of making numerous bank loans to Lowell, Mass., area developer James Jozokos and receiving kickbacks while concealing the loans from the bank, Budd said. Shattuck, 42, was a loan officer at the Security National Bank in Lowell, which was taken over by Boston-based Bank of New England in 1986.
