Big Bear Lake Offers Cash for Biggest Trout Caught

Big Bear Lake, heavily planted with trout since the end of last season, will hold its May Trout contest Saturday and Sunday, with an $1,800 prize for the biggest fish.
The 400 entries were filled last week, but motels and marinas are offering other visiting anglers a package of $49 a person, double occupancy, for one night’s lodging and two half-day boat rentals.
