COUNTYWIDE : Applications for U.S. Academies Accepted

Sen. John Seymour (R-California) will begin distributing and accepting applications June 1 for nominations to the nation’s service academies.
Students interested in attending the U.S. Naval, Military, Air Force or Merchant Marine academies must be nominated by a United States senator, a member of the House of Representatives from their district, the Vice President or the President.
Candidates sending nomination applications to Seymour must be unmarried with no children, citizens of the United States, residents of California and of age 17 through 22 as of July 1, 1992.
Completed nomination applications must be returned to Seymour by Nov. 1, 1991. Candidates should request from their high school guidance counselors information on opening pre-candidate files with the academies they prefer.
