A 12-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy were wounded Monday evening when a man fired several shots into a crowd of youngsters, police said.
The shooting occurred about 6:40 p.m. Monday in the 1100 block of E Avenue, Officer Keith Fifield said. Police would not disclose the names of the wounded.
The boys were wounded by a man who got out of a parked car, fired the shots and then fled, Fifield said.
The 12-year-old was being treated at Children’s Hospital in San Diego for a chest wound. The hospital would not release his condition. The 17-year-old was treated at Paradise Valley Hospital for a gunshot wound to the right arm.
