Torrey Pines Wins Golf Title

Torrey Pines High easily won its second consecutive San Diego Section Team Golf Championship on Monday at the par-72 San Vicente Country Club in Ramona.
With a score of 389, Torrey Pines finished 18 strokes ahead of runner-up Bonita Vista, which shot 407. Poway was third at 408.
Torrey Pines has won a record eight team titles.
Pat Perez led the Falcons with a 75, which was the second lowest score of the day. Teammate Dan Wen shot 76, Mike Hartford 77, Paul Munsch 78 and Matt Lockhart 83.
Bill Lunde of Poway had the low round with a 73.
The section individual championship is May 21-22 at Singing Hills.
