Public’s Help Sought in Finding Hit-Run Driver
WESTMINSTER — Police are seeking the public’s help in locating a hit-and-run driver who killed a pedestrian crossing McFadden Avenue on Sunday night.
John G. Vega, 44, of Garden Grove was crossing the road near Belgrade Street about 8 p.m. when he was struck, Sgt. John Leahy said. Vega was apparently hit by a car travelling west on McFadden after he apparently walked onto the roadway at an unmarked crosswalk in a fairly dark part of the street, police said. Vega died at the scene.
Anyone with any information is asked to call Westminster police at (714) 898-3315, extension 333.
