Counting the House: With the music-making over, it was time to tally the take Monday on a hastily arranged all-star rock concert staged Sunday at London’s Wembley Arena to benefit Iraq’s Kurdish refugees. More than $4.2 million was raised by the concert that was seen on television in 34 countries, including MTV in the United States. Ticket sales accounted for $1.7 million and the telephone pledges totaled $2.52 million, a spokesman said. Performers--some seen by satellite hookup from other cities--included M.C. Hammer, Paul Simon, Sting, Peter Gabriel, Sinead O’Connor and Whitney Houston. The global event was organized by novelist Jeffrey Archer.
