Preliminaries for 2-A Track Today at Gahr

The Southern Section 2-A track and field preliminaries will be held today at 4 p.m. at Gahr High School in Cerritos.
The meet serves as a qualifier for the Southern Section divisional championship meet next Friday at Cerritos College.
Terry Mann, a senior at Sunny Hills who has high-jumped 6-feet-11, and Melissa McDonald, a multi-event performer from Mater Dei, are among those trying to advance.
The 4-A, 3-A and 1-A prelims will be held Saturday at different sites.
