Azusa Pacific University conferred degrees on 554 graduates Saturday, with 291 bachelor of arts, 54 bachelor of science 209 master’s degrees awarded. Ted W. Engstrom (Taylor University, 1938), former president of World Vision, delivered the keynote address to undergraduate students and Russ Rogers (Ph.D, Michigan State University, 1984), chair of the Azusa Pacific’s department of human resources, spoke to graduate students. An honorary degree was awarded to Kenneth Wendling, chief executive of English Language Institute/China.

Looking Ahead

Otis Arts Institute of Parsons School of Design will have Los Angeles City Councilman Joel Wachs, architect John Lautner and artist Emerson Woelffer as keynote speakers at commencement ceremonies Wednesday at 5 p.m. at the band shell at MacArthur Park. Ceremonies are open to the public.

USC will hold its 108th spring graduation ceremony Thursday at 11 a.m. in Alumni Memorial Park. Peter Ueberroth, former baseball commissioner and 1984 Olympic Organizing Committee president, will deliver the commencement address. Ceremonies are open to the public.

California Institute of the Arts will hold its commencement ceremonies on Friday at 2 p.m. at the Graduation Courtyard. School President Steven P. Lavine will deliver the keynote address. Ceremonies are open to the public.

Loyola Marymount University will hold its 79th commencement ceremonies Saturday at 10 a.m. in Sunken Gardens on the Westchester campus. Robert F. Erburu, chairman and chief executive officer of Times Mirror Co., will deliver the keynote address. Ceremonies are open to the public.

The Master’s College will hold its commencement ceremonies Saturday at 10 a.m. on the athletic field next to Bross Gymnasium. Jack Wyrtzen, founder and director of Word of Life Fellowship Inc., will deliver the keynote address. Ceremonies are open to the public.

Mt. St. Mary’s College will hold its 62nd commencement Saturday at 2 p.m. on Chapel Terrace at the Chalon Campus. Linda Wong, executive director of the Achievement Council, will give the commencement address. Ceremonies are open to the public.

Claremont Graduate School will hold its 64th annual commencement Saturday at 3 p.m. in Bridges Auditorium. Anthony Lewis, legal and Supreme Court writer for the New York Times, will deliver the keynote address.
