Kansas to Extradite Suspect in 3 Slayings

McPHERSON, Kan. — A California man sought for questioning in the slayings of his wife and two other women waived extradition in a court appearance Monday.
Phillip Carl Jablonski, 45, is expected to be returned to California within a few days, McPherson County Sheriff Jim Bryan said.
Jablonski was arrested here Sunday after a state trooper stopped to ask if he was having car trouble, authorities said. He was paroled in September, 1990, from a California prison where he was serving a sentence for the 1978 killing of an earlier wife.
California authorities want to question him in last week’s slayings of his wife and mother-in-law at their home in Burlingame, near San Francisco, and of a 38-year-old woman whose nude body was found in the desert near the Riverside County town of Indio.
