Bland Named Football Coach at Orange High

Buddy Bland has been hired as football coach at Orange High School, Athletic Director Dave Zirkle said Thursday.

Bland replaces Tom Meese, who resigned in February because of budget cuts. Bland was the offensive line coach for the Panthers the past two seasons.

Bland will finish this school year as a walk-on coach. However, according to Zirkle, a recommendation will be made to the school board that Bland be hired as a full-time teacher.
