The top executive at Sumitomo Bank of California has resigned to join a Tokyo-based securities firm affiliated with Sumitomo’s parent.
Keizo Yoshida, 55, president and chief executive of the San Francisco-based bank, is joining Meiko Securities, an affiliate of Sumitomo Bank Ltd., the world’s third-largest financial institution.
The bank’s board named Tadaichi Ikagawa, 52, the new chief executive. Takeyoshi Matsushita, 53, a New York-based senior managing director of the parent bank, was elected chairman.
