All About Mankiewicz: Joseph L. Mankiewicz, a four-time Oscar winner, will be honored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences on May 6 with a special tribute of recognition for his contributions to movies. Mankiewicz won his Oscars for writing and directing “A Letter to Three Wives” in 1949 and “All About Eve” in 1950, the only person to win consecutive Oscars for both writing and directing. Joining Mankiewicz at the academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater will be Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Caine, Roddy McDowall and Burgess Meredith.
