La Puente : Council Picks New Mayor

The City Council performed its annual reorganization Tuesday, naming Councilman Charles H. Storing to replace Joe V. Alderete as mayor.
The council also named Councilman Louis Perez mayor pro tem, the position formerly held by Storing.
Alderete’s last duty as mayor was to accept a trophy commemorating his hole-in-one during a recent golf tournament to benefit the Boy Scouts.
