A 6-year-old boy was struck by a hit-and-run driver and critically injured Monday as he walked his bicycle through a crosswalk in front of Sierra Vista Elementary School in La Puente where he is a student, authorities said.
The youngster, whose name was withheld, was taken to Queen of the Valley Hospital in West Covina where he was listed in critical condition, a sheriff’s spokesman said.
