Changing Prop. 13
Prop. 13 saved the homes of seniors on fixed income. True.
How about postponing the increase in taxes for such people until the property is sold, and at that time take it from the escalated sale price and profit from the original cost?
A reasonable tax increase is necessary for the quality of our educational system. Favoritism for old-timers, those who owned property on the designated date, is totally unfair.
