Childhood Memories: Shirley Jones says she thought, “Oh no, not again,” when she heard that Danny Bonaduce, the troubled former childhood star of “The Partridge Family,” had been arrested in Phoenix for assaulting a transvestite prostitute. Bonaduce, now 31, was always a “rebellious little kid” on the “Partridge Family” set, Jones recalls. “When I was working with him I would swat him once in a while and make him behave. Danny had a rough home life. He was rough and tumble even then. He’d show up late and had a bad mouth and played practical jokes. He responded to my discipline, though. He listened to me. We got along really well but you just had to keep him in line.”
