About 170 Chatsworth employees of the Rocketdyne Division of Rockwell International will be transferred to the company’s Westlake facility beginning April 29, a company official said.
Rocketdyne is moving its information systems employees to the Westlake area of Thousand Oaks to make better use of the space at that office, said Diana Croon White, a Rocketdyne spokeswoman. No new positions are being created, she said.
About 250 employees now work in the Westlake office, which is involved in development of the propulsion system for an experimental aircraft, the X-30, designed to travel into orbit at hypersonic speeds.
