TBS celebrates April Fool’s Day on Monday with the premiere episodes of several classic comedy series: I Love Lucy (2:05 p.m.); Laverne and Shirley (2:35 p.m.); Beverly Hillbillies (3:05 p.m.); The Andy Griffith Show (3:35 p.m.); Happy Days (4:05 p.m.), and All in the Family (4:35 p.m.).
Ricky thinks he’s going bald on I Love Lucy (Monday at 1:35 a.m. on TBS).
Oscar-winner Martin Balsam guests on Alfred Hitchcock Presents (Tuesday at 11 p.m. on Nickelodeon) as a man whose invalid wife is an untidy, overbearing nag.
Teen heartthrobs, circa 1964, Frank Sinatra Jr., Sal Mineo and Bobby Vinton all visit The Patty Duke Show ( 1 a.m. on Nickelodeon) this week. Tuesday, Sinatra plays a young professor Patty thinks her parents want to marry. Mineo drops by Thursday when he appears in a school revue with Patty, and Vinton guests Saturday as the nephew of Martin’s publisher.
Smart and Agent 99 let their hair down when they infiltrate a gang of hippies on Get Smart (Friday at 9 p.m. on Nickelodeon).
The Master of Suspense himself, Alfred Hithcock, directed the “Bang! You’re Dead†episode of Alfred Hitchcock Presents (Friday at 11 p.m. on Nickelodeon) which features Billy Mumy as a 6-year-old boy who discovers a real gun in his uncle’s suitcase.
After 11 years of marriage, Lucy learns she and Ricky are to be parents on one of the bestepisodes of I Love Lucy (Sunday at 5 p.m. on KTTV). Pepito the Spanish Clown, who also appeared in the pilot for I Love Lucy, performs his famousbaby-crying act (Monday at 9:30 a.m. on KTTV). The wonderful Hans Conreid plays Percy Livermore, an English teacher Lucy has hired to teachRicky English, in I Love Lucy (Tuesday at 9 a.m. on KTTV).
