Hotel Investors Trust, Los Angeles, said John D. Morrissey will resign as president and chief executive, effective April 30. Jeffrey C. Lapin, currently a vice president, has been named to succeed Morrissey, who will remain a trustee and has agreed to act as a consultant to the concern through July 31.
