Breast-Feed Flap: NBC’s “Today� show co-host Deborah Norville is making waves in news circles following a photo spread in People magazine that shows her breast-feeding her infant son. Washington Post TV critic Tom Shales called it “gross exploitation of oneself and one’s child all in the name of career advancement.� Media observer Barbara Matusow said in USA Today, “If you’re going to breast-feed in public, don’t expect to be taken seriously as an anchor.� Norville says she’s amused by the issue, adding “motherhood shouldn’t impinge on a woman’s ability to do her job.�
