Woman Held in Fatal Stabbing After Argument
A 19-year-old Pacoima woman was arrested Saturday on suspicion of stabbing to death a woman who was dating her ex-boyfriend, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Latanya Renee Hill is accused of knifing Donna Lyons, 19, of Pacoima once in the chest early in morning after an argument in front of Hill’s apartment on the 14600 block of Nordhoff Street.
Detective Jim Vojtecky said that Lyons was with the boyfriend in question, who was not identified, when the stabbing occurred.
Vojtecky said the man helped the injured Lyons into his car, then he drove off with her. A block away, he stopped at a pay phone and called paramedics. Lyons was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Hill was arrested on suspicion of murder at her apartment and was in custody Saturday evening at the Van Nuys jail.
