A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a man found dead in the bathroom of an apartment, police said Thursday.
The suspect, Angelino Fuentes, was arrested during a police investigation at his apartment in the 1800 block of Placentia Avenue, where the 21-year-old victim was found Wednesday night, Police Capt. Tom Lazar said.
Authorities were responding to a 911 call complaining of loud music at the apartment when they found the victim in the bathroom about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. The victim, whose identity was withheld pending notification of relatives, “was bleeding profusely from multiple stab wounds,” Lazar said.
The victim was taken to Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach, where he was pronounced dead.
Police arrested the suspect during their investigation at the scene, Lazar said, adding that the motive for the stabbing was still unclear.
Fuentes was charged with murder and was being held on $250,000 bail. An investigation is continuing.
