Northeast Louisiana to Put 15-Game Win Streak on Line

MONROE, La. — Northeast Louisiana will risk the second-longest winning streak in Division I tonight against Florida A&M; in the inaugural round of play-in games for the NCAA tournament.
Northeast’s string of 15 basketball victories is second to Nevada Las Vegas’ 38.
Florida A&M; finished fifth in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference standings but won the conference tournament with an 84-80 triumph over Delaware State in the final.
Northeast beat Texas-Arlington for the Southland Conference tournament championship.
The Southland and the MEAC are two of six conferences without automatic bids to the NCAA tournament.
