A small earthquake was felt early Tuesday near the U.S.-Mexico border, but there were no reports of damage or injuries, authorities said.
The magnitude-3.5 temblor struck at 2:29 a.m. and was centered 19 miles south of San Diego in Mexican waters, said Robert Finn, spokesman for Pasadena’s California Institute of Technology.
A San Diego County sheriff’s dispatcher said several residents of Imperial Beach reported feeling the quake.
