MEN’S COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL : USC Sweeps Cal State Northridge
Top-ranked USC, playing its usual steady if not spectacular game, stayed undefeated with a 15-11, 15-11, 15-6 decision over third-ranked Cal State Northridge Wednesday night in a Western Intercollegiate Volleyball Assn. match at Northridge.
The Trojans, 12-0 overall and 8-0 in the WIVA, were led by All-American Bryan Ivie, who had a team-high 23 kills, six digs and five blocks.
Northridge (9-3, 5-2) got a match-high 28 kills from Neil Coffman before a near-capacity crowd of 2,421.
USC scored the final 14 points of the match against Northridge, which has never defeated the Trojans in 22 tries.
